I thought of doing the same thing as Marci (above), but it didn’t work for her, then it’s not going to work for me.. I’m a bit confused now as well. I would really like to make something like this.. Please help!

Will you help? I am struggling with trying to knit the cute little heart. I cast on 15 stitches. Is that considered row 1? Do i knit or pearl row 2?

This is what i am doing: and it does not look right:

Row 1. cast on 15 stitches
Row 2. Knit all the way across
Row 3. Knit 7 stitches, pearled one stitch, knit 7 stitches
Row 4. Knit 6 stitches, pearled 3 stitches, knit 6 stitches
Row 5. Knit 5 stitches, pearled 5 stitches, knit 5 stitches
Row 6. Knit 4 stitches, pearled 7 stitches, knit 4 stitches. Etcetera

It does not indicate a heart and the stitches all look wonky . Can you tell in my write-up where i am going wrong? I love this little panel with a heart SO much, i have GOT to learn how to do that correctly, and i hooe you can help.

wrong side is the purl stitch side for this instances, which mean the back of the face you want to show.
