Pom Pom Tutorial – Elmo & Cookie Monster
I will still do some pom-pom projects this week. Hopefully you can have some gift ideas for the upcoming Christmas
Pom Pom is the easiest craft I found to be able to make various cartoon features. All you need is to trim and assemble it with fabric glue. This time I am demonstrating how to make pom poms for Sesame Street characters. I picked Elmo and Cookie Monster, the more popular characters from Sesame Street. I wanted to make Big Bird, but I couldn’t get the yellow yarn of its kind, sooo…. here you are, the tutorial for making Elmo and Cookie Monster Pom Pom
Tips: If this is the first time you landed in this blog and wanted to make pom pom, you might find ….

Pom Pom Tutorial: Eerie Black Widow Spider
Wooooooooo!….. an eerie black widow spider pom pom arrived in Craft Passion to spice up your Halloween!!!!
When people describe Halloween, Jack O’ Lanterns, spiders, bat, haunted houses, halloween costumes, treats basket, spooky adventures to the woods, costume party, ghost story telling, graveyard, pumpkin carving etc comes to mind….. This is kind of fun celebrating Halloween!
After making pom-pom Jack O’ Lantern, I made it’s close associate….a black widow spider. These 2 make a popular duo for Halloween. Not only this, there is a crochet pattern at the bottom of this post for the spider web. ….

Pom Pom Tutorial: Spooky Halloween Jack O’ Lantern
10 days to Halloween!!! My pom-pom fever hasn’t subsided so I made this Jack O’ Lantern pom-pom pumpkin!
I love Halloween, though it is not commonly celebrated here (except those costume parties organized meant for adults) but I have experienced it once during my short-term stay in the UK, and that gave me a wonderful memory. Seeing children dressed up in cute and spooky Halloween costumes, holding a Halloween basket, walking from door to door shouting “Treat or Trick” and they get treats in return, this is cute
I would love to carve a real pumpkin with spooky expression, place a tea light in it and put it outside my front door but I am in Malaysia…. I can’t find this type of pumpkin which is so orangie, big and beautiful, even if there is, the price must be sky-high. All we have here is Kabocha Pimpkin, which has a green blotchy skin that is hard and mmmm… “ugly” but tastes great in cooking.
So, no real pumpkin for me, nevermind! With pom-pom, I can make a small Halloween decoration in just 30 minutes. The step is pretty simple: ….

Pom Pom Tutorial – Hair Barrattes
October 18, 2009 | Highlight, Other Craft, Pom Pom, Tutorial

So, you’ve made some pom-poms for your project and want to make use of it, to decorate it etc, but…. the size is too big or you want it in another shape other than round. You need to trim it, of course. Trimming needs skill and it is just like a hair dresser’s job. Lack of skill may cause over trimming and unevenness, the more you trim it and try to get to the right shape you want, the pom-pom become smaller and smaller. The worst part is, after hours spent in trimming, you still can’t get the shape you want and the original pom-pom is snipped beyond recognition, you get frustrated and give-up. What a waste!!! I have gone through this (I am not a hair dresser) so I know what you’re going to face with “the trim”. I found a good tip after some research. The following tutorial will show you how to trim your pom-pom to your desired shape and size easy and fast
to me, it never failed!!!! ….
