Pom Pom Tutorial – Shaun The Sheep
Finally, Shaun The Sheep arrives in Craft Passion….. I know some of you have been waiting to see this. Sorry to keep you waiting, I have some good excuses for postponing of this tutorial:
1. Blame it to the bad weather here, it was raining almost everyday (monsoon is coming) and I can’t take outdoor photos of Shaun and Shirley, they are meant to be outdoors, right? [Browse the photos by using the Next button, I have taken lots of funny photos of Shaun, enjoy!]
2. I have a tough task… I was rushing for my daughter’s stage drama costume. She took up a role as a Queen and I was informed that I need to prepare for her own costume as the school can’t find one that fits her. I only had 1 week. Luckily I completed it just in time after burning a few late-nights in my craft room, phew….
I totally fell in love to this funny looking black face sheep last year when it was shown in the Disney Playhouse Channel which my daughter loves to watch. Shaun is a curious but resourceful sheep among the flock of its kind, it is funny and adventurous and often a trouble maker.
Back to the tutorial, this is an advanced level in pom pom making. If you have been following and trying my method of this, this, this, this and this, you should be able to do this.

How cute! I like your pom pom maker. Mine isn’t as fancy as yours.
Salihan, I think all pom pom makers are about the same, with one task, to let us make pom pom.
Hope you will try it out one day with your maker and show me how it turns out
Hey! My son loves Shaun The Sheep show! It is one of his favourite show. Even me fell in love with this show, can you believe it? Great idea, great photos! Love it.

Your son should love it especially personally handmade by his mum
I fell in love with Shaun the Sheep while babysitting my nephew- that show is awesome!
However, I’m wondering if perhaps you could create a template on a PDF for for the trimming guides and the ears? It would make it a little easier to get the exact proportions.
This is an awesome project- thanks for posting it!
Kimberly, thanks for the suggestion. I will trace the template and put up here soon. Thanks.
That is so unreal! I have forwarded it on to my sister to make for my 2yr old son, he LOVES Shaun the Sheep!

Hi Craft Passion,
I was wondering if you could put up the templates in PDF. I’d like to make a mass of these cute sheep for some serving ones at church. Also, I’m not sure where to get pom poms. Do they sell them just ready-to-go without having to use the pom-pom makers?
cute cute cute.. i like this.
if i were to add floral wire to the ear, so that it can be shaped, what do u think..?
i’ll try this as soon as i find pom pom maker at the nearest store!
Sure you can, in fact it is a great idea
But the floral wire has to be black so that it is not so obvious.
Wonderful tutorial (and entertaining too)! Great idea to use cording for the legs. Thanks so much for sharing.
I wanna say thank u a lot dear ..you inspired me to make my favorite cartoon character >> i made it >>finally
thank u sooooooooooooo much keep it up
may god be with you dear sister

You did a great representation of Shaun! Sooooo cute and I love the earmuffs, too! Shaun the Sheep is my favorite next to Wallace and Grommit. Thanks for sharing such cuteness!
This is just too cute! And you did a great job, it looks just like Shaun and Shirley. I hope you don’t mind, but I reposted with one of your pics on my blog: http://magpieskinnies.blogspot.com/2011/02/pom-pom-animal-cuteness.html. Thanks for sharing!
