It is in USA crochet terms. The yarn and finished size aren’t important as long as they are matching, as a rule of thumb, the lighter or thinner the yarn is, the smaller your christmas tree will be if crochet with the recommended hook of the yarn.

1. are you using USA crochet terms or UK terms?

3. when you say crochet yarn… what size do you mean?

4. what is the finished size of the one you made with the yarn you chose?

I love this pattern! I actually used this as a base for my own pattern and it turned out beautifully! I think I want to try to make a smaller one in the future. ^_^

9st means that you should have 9 stitches on that row.
mm means move marker when you have done the row.
