I thought I will be having my dream come true to have a cold Christmas holiday this year. I have bought the flight tickets to fly 1,400 miles up north where it should be about 50ºF during the Christmas week, though no snow but it is cold enough to make me happy. So, I knit this simple slouch beanie hat for my daughter to keep her warm since it will be her first coldest temperature experience. But… things didn’t turn out to what I have planned… that’s a long boring story…..

This simple slouch beanie hat is quite easy and fast to complete. Get the knitting pattern after this. I used eye lashes texture yarn which I bought at Spotlight during my recent trip to Singapore. The yarn is classified as super bulky, but you may use any similar yarn to replace it. If you want to have a longer slouch behind the hat, just increase the stitches. You can also add a pom-pom at the back or attach your favorite brooch to decorate this simple hat.

Wish you have a warm Christmas celebration with friends and family members…. Merry Christmas!!!

  6. Please tell me what “dummy yarn” is?

    • The dummy yarn is yarn that you use temporary to start the knitting, especially during the first cast on. The yarn will be removed and replaced at later stage during joining.
