Flower Applique Pattern
If it wasn’t due to my daughter’s admission to the hospital (and me too), I really can’t leave my day job, renovation detail and craft aside. I have put down everything (including my 5 year-old son) to accompany her to the hospital for a 1-week treatment plan. While she is resting in bed for recuperation, I am able to sit down with full concentration, sorting out a bunch of photos, and start writing the tutorials again…. I am blessed to have my miserable schedules re-prioritize again.
As I have promised before, once I have done my daughter’s “Secret Garden” quilt blanket, I will post all the details here to share. Without a doubt, this blanket took a lot of preparations, from idea to paper, to blanket, and now to tutorial & pattern sharing. Due to it’s intricacy design that involved a lot of appliques, I have to share the detail part by part when necessary.
This flower applique pattern is part of the tutorials of the “Secret Garden” Quilt Blanket, but it is not limit to this application, you may adapt the pattern to do other craft. In this tutorial, I also included the trapunto method to make the appliqued flowers “pop up”. Coming up next will be the other applique patterns for butterfly, ladybug, snails, songbirds, tree, sun & font of Secret Garden etc…. so please stay tuned.

I knew your silence would give us an eye candy
Thank you, Royce

Beautiful!, I will start doing this work, thank you very much for making a space to upload your creations, I hope that your daughter improve health and in these cases you have to be very patient (crafts are a great therapy relaxation, that’s how I started in the craft) and the main thing is to never lose faith, everything will be fine … Cheers
Thank you, Rocio, for the encouragement!
I hope your Daughter has a speedy recovery and is able to get back home soon. I also hope this was nothing to serious as well.
I really love this pattern. Who is the fabric designer of the material you chose to use? I really love it. It is so my style and a really great pick me up as well. I am definately going to have to save this one and as soon as we figure out if we are moving once again or staying here for a bit then that will let me know how soon I can start working on it.
Thank you, Deana, for your kind blessing.
The fabrics are Sassy, designed by Sandy Gervais for Moda, I bought the 5″ charm pack and jelly rolls. Love the color a lot and I even painted my daughter’s room to suit this color scheme.
Please keep me update on your plan
I will let you know when I get started. I am in the process of moving right now so once I get settled where ever it is I decide to go I am going to sit down and get started on this project. Glad to see the post about your Daughter getting better.
