Sewing Tutorial: Christmas Stocking
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!! May 2010 bring luck, joy and health to you and your loved ones!!!!
I am writing this on the day of Christmas Eve…. where has the days gone? It was like yesterday since I started making kanzashi Christmas Trees, then glittering some stars, wire wound some stars, followed by making holly berries, wreath, crochet Christmas Tree, plus some other crafts that I didn’t published here!!! A month passed by in just a blink of an eye, now, I am making my last Christmas craft for the year.

I made 2 Christmas Gift Stockings for my kids with their names on them and they are my last minute sewing projects. I thought I can never make it for the dead-line since I have to stay at home and take care of my son 24/7 whose nanny is on a 1-week emergency leave. With my determination and 4 “very” late-nights sewing, I made it!!! Yawn…. I really need a good rest after this Christmas, perhaps hibernate until 2010, lol… Just kidding, I will still continue making handicrafts but in slower pace. Don’t forget that I have another giveaway draw in early …..

Sewing Tutorial: Felt Holly Berries

Someone said: “it is not Christmas without Holly Berries”. I couldn’t agree more, it is one of the traditional symbols representing Christmas, how can I miss it out on this?
This year I made my own Holly Berries as I am not going to use any plastic holly leaves and fake-looking berries to ruin my Christmas decorations. I am using felt to make the leaves and combining it with artificial, but real-looking berries I found in a florist shop. This particular holly berries is for a wreath that I am giving away to my friend. It is not only limited to wreaths, you can make these berries to decorate your Christmas Tree, Stocking, on the wall or just anywhere you like.
Stocking sounds like a good idea to me as I am going to make them for my kids, so I might decorate them with these holly berries as well… Will show you the stockings later once they are done. Let’s come back on how to make this Felt Holly Berries.

My Melody Sling Purse

Easter is approaching… I made this for my 6 year-old daughter. She chose this “My Melody” bunny and asked me to make it into a purse for her, what a coincidence!!!
I addded a pot of lovely flowers beside “My Melody” and she requested that I put more lace flowers on top of them. Together we made this sling purse, especially to my princess… …..

KeroKeroPi Purse
March 11, 2009 | Purse
This is the purse I finished off few days ago. It is supposed to be my friend’s birthday gift but I ended up not being able to complete it in time. By the time she receives it, it will be a “belated bithday gift”. Well, never too late to show the love to your friends, better be late than nothing….. Hope she don’t mind :p
Frankly speaking, I don’t have many friends from so long ago. This friendship with this birthday girl is 15 years old. I especially cherish this friendship now because we are so far apart. She is residing in Hong Kong and I am in Malaysia. By the way, we met in UK during our studies and on first sight, I knew that she is a kind hearted girl, so adorable and helpful.
We have so many pleasant memories to share though we only lived together for a year, yeah living in the same hostel, don’t get me wrong. She was extremely crazy about Kerokeropi, so much so that she had a collection of them. I gave her a KeroKeoPi T-shirt many years ago as her birthday gift, now, KeroKeropi purse and it is my handmade piece especially for her.
I hope she will like it!!!!
