Note Book Cover Tutorial & Pattern, Front Cover

Let’s dressed-up your note book and personalized it to your taste with a new cover!!!!

I made mine after buying a cheap note book from the stationery shop! Why spend more on the cover that I will throw away upon finished up the whole book? I salvaged some left over fabrics from my stashes to sew it, which I can use it repeatedly, book after book. Look familiar? You are right! Those left over fabrics are from my trifold floral wallet project. Now, I have a set of matching wallet with a note book!!! What’s next, may be a bag? May be, thinking, thinking, planning, planning!!!

This pattern is for A5 size note book, if you have other sizes, don’t worry, you can still adapt to this pattern or you can make a non sew-up back cover with a strap for adjustment to suit different width. Read further for more info about how to sew this note book.

I have been fancied about couching stitch in embroidery recently, so I designed this flower applique embroidery pattern to try it out.

All I can say that this stitch is super easy to sew and the laid work across the edge of the applique is awesome. Just look at my first try and I believed you will agree with me    I have made this flower embroidery pattern available for free download here, try it out!!!

If you have noted that I have been slow in posting for this week, well, I have a good news to announce…. I am learning basic Adobe Illustrator…. which means that you will see more electronically drawn patterns in Craft Passion from now. This is my first Illustrator pattern, apart form those I drawn with Autocad. Finally, those ugly hand sketches are “diminishing” from here!
