Amigurumi Baby Sheep Crochet Pattern

Posted on Last updated:

After making Pom-pom Shaun The Sheep and Shirley Sheep Earmuffs, I knew that Timmy will be my next sheep project. Here he is, presented in the form of a crochet stuffed animal, amigurumi Baby Sheep Amigurumi and I hope you all like it.

All you need are some white, black, and yellow yarns and safety eyes to make Timmy the crochet baby sheep stuffed animal. I used medium worsted yarn and played around with the number of strands to crochet. For double-strand yarn, I used a 4.5mm and 5mm crochet hook to make baby Timmy. Whilst I used single-strand yarn (with a 3mm crochet hook) to make the pacifier so that it comes out smaller in size that suits the head size of Timmy. With all these manipulations, Amigurumi Baby Sheep Timmy came out to be about 5″ tall, just a nice size as a cute amigurumi stuffed animal for kids or as a mobile toy on the stroller.

The fur on Timmy’s body is constructed by a special stitch called Loop Stitch. If you are unfamiliar with this stitch, I have prepared a video tutorial on crocheting it. Click the link above section to watch the video on how to make it, and it is not difficult.

If you are a fan of the British animated children’s television series “Shaun The Sheep” and the spinoff “Timmy Time“, this cute little baby sheep shouldn’t be any stranger to you. His name is Timmy, the cousin of Shaun, the pacifier sucker that has a mom who wears hair curlers that always protects him from danger.

We have been huge fans of Shaun the Sheep ever since my son was born. This animated TV program was our routine morning show during breakfast. I love this cute little pacifier sucker baby sheep Timmy and adore it a lot. A few years later, Aardman Animations produced a spinoff to feature Timmy in Timmy Time. This 3-year-old baby sheep and his friends learn to share and make friends, which is a good Children’s TV series for a preschooler.

Timmy’s body instructions, Round 9: *ls2tog, 1 ls in next 3 sts*, repeat * around. MM (16). This doesn’t seem to workout evenly and doesn’t end with 16 stitches. I did some math and ls2tog, 1 ls in next st works out. Don’t know if you want to make changes or not. I didn’t see any comments about this problem, just wanted to let you know. Thanks for the free pattern, it’s so cute.

You are right, Karen. I have a typo mistake there. It is supposed to be Round 9: *ls2tog, 1 ls in next st*, repeat * around. MM (16) I have got it correctly. Thank you for pointing it out.

I've already commented on your clever pattern for Timmy baby sheep, but I can't work out what you mean by the following: sc sc2 sc2 sc in the last ch. Does it mean that you do a sc, then another 2 sc, then another 2s crochets in the last chain? that makes 6 sc stitches in the last ch. If that is what you mean, why don't you write sc x 6 in the last chain? I really would appreciate your answer.

Yes, you are right, it is sc6 in the last chain. This pattern was written 7 years ago and I was very much into Japanese pattern. This is how Japanese will draw in their chart diagram LOL.... I have gotten it edited. Thanks for pointing it out.
