The only materials you need for this Devil dress are red acrylic yarn, a small red button, and a crochet hook.
This backless sexy red halter dress has a low-cut V neckline and an A-line skirt. It is about 5″ long from shoulder to the “hem” of the dress. With a button fastener at the back, it is easy to wear for most stuffed toys or dolls; including most of the animals & wildlife collections in the Craft Passion’s Free Amigurumi Pattern.
You’ll first crochet the top part of the crochet Devil costume, which is designed to resemble a bikini top. Next, continue to crochet the bottom of the dress in rows, then connect the two pieces with a button. Get the full written crochet pattern and detailed instructions on how to do it below.
We used the same yarn as the amigurumi cat, which is a light worsted acrylic yarn. If you are using different yarn or crochet this doll dress for your other stuffed animal or doll, make a test tension piece to check your gauge size. By comparing the size, you will roughly know that if you are going to produce an exact size as this pattern is given.
If you plan to make a smaller size, just try a lighter with yarn and a smaller hook, the gauge piece will come out needing more stitches and row to produce a 4″ x 4″ gauge. Vice versa for a larger size of doll dress, use bulkier yarn and a bigger crochet hook to make this doll dress pattern.
With that said, you may use the exact crochet doll dress pattern to make the dress for baby and toddler with bulkier yarn. Vice versa, by using crochet lace thread, you could make a smaller doll dress to suit your barbie doll.
If you want to make another type of amigurumi doll dress pattern for your Devil cat, you may crochet a bikini suit or a doll dress with panties set. Or, you can crochet a beautiful ruffled halter neck dress like what Angel Cat is wearing (free pattern coming soon).
Hope you have a pleasant time creating beautiful doll clothes.
Happy crochet!
