Giveaways

pom pom mink scarf

Pom-Pom Faux Mink Scarf – October’s giveaway lucky draw!!!

Yes, I knitted this especially for my first ever giveaway contest which I plan to hold on a monthly basis. This fake mink fur scarf is made of 100% polyester micro fiber and is double layered, soft and warm. For some of you, weather is starting to chill, it will keep you warm, wrap around your neck, your head, cover your ears or just anywhere you want to keep warm. For those staying in the Southern Hemisphere, spring is coming, so this is nice to wrap around if you are wearing a little less for the fluctuating season. And, if you are in the tropical country like me, well, find a cold place to go (altitude and latitude wise) and create the opportunity to use it, or attend a dinner at a chillingly cold restaurant, ice-bar pub etc… This piece of wonderful scarf is a must in every girl’s wardrobe no matter where you stay.

By the way, thanks to those who gave me the name for this yarn… pom-pom, marshmallow or mink fur yarn, etc… I decided to call this Pom-Pom Faux Mink Fur.

I am loving your blog and your creations. I am slower now at getting things made as I have developed serious arthritis at a youngish age. I love making things as I see you do to. I love the scarf and it looks like it would keep a very sore aching neck warm and comfy.
I look forward to keeping up with your wonderful creations. Thanks for sharing this with me.

    Kindest regards

I jumped on over to your blog, Your a pro! I was just thinking you should do Etsy and I “pushed see how many heart you” you already do it! I am impressed. I have some crochet coasters that look just like your refrigerator owls that my great grandmother made over 30 years ago and they are still in use today. I can’t crochet b/c I only have use of one hand but if it can be done I would love to try. I am knitting with a knitting mnachine its taking me way too long. lol

Plus hand towels or table napkins. Aprons, yes. I saw the one you made for your friend. I only have one hand but hey I can sew. Ask Wendy Glasco .. lol Hi Wendy, I am sorry I used your name! .. lol I love the warm colors of green which is my fav. (army green) my son just got back Iraq. No wonder I love I Army Green. I am a fan of course who wouldn’t be. Now is the time for crafts with Thanksgiving and Wow Christmas around the corner, Where to you go for the instructions for the scarfs? I would like to make some for friends and family BUT is it easy for a one handed person? I would also like crafts that one could make one handed, I have one of those knitters with different shapes. I making a scarf out of it you know what colors? Grean, Brown, tan and black .. lol I have knitted 10 rows and its taking me one month Y’ikes. I am a facebook fan and a fan of Craft Passion. I love the texture and colors. It reminds me of lichen and moss that grows on rocks. My house tends to get cold in the winter months so I can never have enough slippers, wrist warmers, or throw blankets. I make wristwarmers for my daughter and I, but I would love to see a simple pair that boys can wear as well.

I look forward to continue browsing through your site. It is put together well.

anyway, back to your question, the one that i really hope I could own for is the Batik Apron. I love cooking and it may be a joke if im telling others that Im giving out Apron, but by looking at your apron, it would be unique and elegent craft/creative design that one may always remember especially when it is specially made.

Your scarf looks absolutely beautiful, so warm and cozy too! It sure will come in handy where I live, it’s already down to 5 degree, soon it will be below -20. I love the color combination, sage green and muster yellow are my favorites.

I love your glass lantern, and it doesn’t seem too complicated to make either. I can totally see my self making one with my kids, we might try it next year. I’m also a fan on facebook.

P.S. Have you ever made a sleeping pouch? My 3 yr old keeps on tossing and turning, I have to get up at least 5x every night just to put blanket over him. So I thought of making a pouch, but don’t have any designs in mind. If I don’t find a solution soon, my pouchy black eyes will be the only feature people will notice on my face. As the craft master, could you shed some light? Thanks.

I love this scarf! It looks so soft and cuddly. How about a hat to go with it? It gets pretty cold where I live. 😀

I am a friend on facebook, but for whatever reason, I had no idea this was even going on. It’s so awesome. I’m in Alaska, so I would LOVE something this stylish to keep my chilly neck tidbits warm!

I love this scarf I would love to see you re-work a pair of pants or jeans to compliment it or maybe even a jacket.

That is a very neat scarf. It looks so snuggly. Was the yarn difficult to knit with. I have stayed away from the heavly textured yarn, thinking it would be more difficult to knit with…

I LOVe this scarf! I have a sage geeen coat that is the same green in your scarf. I would love to have a tote that is huge and has a long handle so that the tote itself lands at my hip area.
I can sew anything, and crochet some, but have never attempted knitting.
You have inspired me to give it a try..Any suggestions for a beginer?
    God bless! Diana Adams

this is so unique! It has such an interesting look to it & I’m going to be raiding my local wool shop to see what fascinating wools I can find. Thanks for the inspiring creations – love the hedgehogs – my daughter would LOVE one to snuggle with, since they aren’t prickly little things at all!
    Keep up the crafting!

This is awesome Joanne!! Very trendy and up beat! I really love those little hedgehogs too! You are super crafty – every time I see stuff on your site I want to make things, but my little one is so busy . . . He doesn’t let me get much sewing in these days

Hi Joanne!!! I love this scarf (neck warmer!) what can I say, I love your work period! What I am trying to complete is the Pagoda Lamps, I want to try and do four for mew place that I will be moving into soon, I just know they will be BEAUTIFUL and go BEAUTIFULLY in my new patio! I also want to try the Manek Beaded Shoes but I will start with the small items, since I am not a pro, I would love to learn how to crochet (I have a vague idea because I had to do it in my native country in elementary) but I forgot, I also sew basic items like skirts and plain one pocket collar shirts more like school uniform style! I love love love what you do and I hope that you will continue to bring us all this wonderful crafty goodies!

Have an amazing and rested weekend!
    Your friend Gisselle R. Andueza

    Hi Joanne,
Your scarf is beautiful. I saw a tutorial on how to knit with this yarn. I’m not the greatest knitter but when I have some time, I may give it a try. A hat would be nice to go with the scarf. It’s already getting chilly here in Massachusetts so scarfs and hats make great gifts.

    Joanne,
The things you make are so beautiful! I have been sewing for over 23 years now (I started at age 4) and I have found that your passion gives me yet another source of inspiration! I’m not so great at knitting, and was very impressed by this scarf that you are so generously giving away!
I am interested in finding new ways to embellish clothing, such as beading, or the cut-out method you used to sew your new “Craft Passion” logo. I am using the latter to decorate a black satin dress that I’m working on. When I get it finished, (hopefully soon!) I will have to send you a picture! I love sewing and anything related because it was a connection and passion that I shared with my Grandmother Jane, and she did so many wonderful things for the people in her life through her sewing talents. I hope to be able to be as inspiring to people in my life too. 🙂 Keep up your amazing work!

    Mindy

Hi Hi Joanne, I love this scarf and I wonder how you knitted it. Did you knit it like normal or do you have to measure it accordingly to the length between the pom poms? Heheheeh I don’t know what I would like to see on this page as you have such varied crafts. I hope to see unusual offerings like this!!!
