Today, we have a young guest tutor here to show us how to fold Origami Dress. Please welcome my 9-year-old son, Ian. He made this origami dress (in purple color) for me as a Mother’s Day gift. When I posted a photo of it to Craft Passion Official Facebook Page, he received an encouraging response from the dearest fans all over the world. He was super excited but humbly smiling and walk into his room. I asked if he would love to make a video to show the steps, he immediately agreed to my suggestion. So, we waited until a weekend afternoon when the daylight is at its fullest shine (I like to use natural light for my video and photography)….. He made a few videos with different papers for me to choose, and there goes the production of the video.

In the quiet morning of the Mother’s Day, as usual, he was in his room reading origami book, playing with origami paper to create something out from his hand. We always let him have his me-time to do his creation and do not want to interrupt his flow of creativity. Without expecting anything from him, he handed me an envelope, hugged and wished me Happy Mother’s Day. Me, with a raised eyebrows, knowing that he has made something to me, happily open up the envelope and found a dress and a ring there. Though they are just origami and not the real thing, I was as happy as a lark, humming blissfully while playing with the origami. Yes, he is my sweet boy, as sweet as my elder girl.
I hope you all have a wonderful time making some of this origami dress. Please do encourage the little kids to fold origami, if my 9-year-old boy can do it, I am sure many kids can do it as well with little guidance.
