Strawberry Reusable Grocery Bag
The first time I saw this strawberry reusable grocery bag was when I visited Taiwan end of last year. I did so much shopping that I didn’t have enough grocery bag to use. Luckily my friend borrowed her strawberry grocery bag to me when I needed it the most. It is so cute and the folding to keep the grocery bag into a tiny cute little strawberry drawstring bag really amazed me. My daughter liked it so much…. cut the story short **fast forward**, the bag ended up come home with us.
I have developed a tutorial on sewing a strawberry reusable grocery bag to share with you. I know many of you would agree with me the great functional effect of the cute little strawberry drawstring bag attached to the reusable grocery bag.
I used nylon/polyester fabric which thin but strong bought from Daiso. You may use cotton or even old T-shirt to sew it. T-shirt or heavier fabrics will need a bigger strawberry bag to store, so please adjust the size a little bigger.
Keep one in your handbag or hang it as a charm, handy when you need to do some urgent grocery shopping. It is small and light, it won’t take up too much space and load

This is AWESOME!!! Thank you so much for the great tutorial. I’ve been searching for this exact pattern for almost three years and no one has come close to the excellent job you’ve done here.
I bought one of these shopping bags about 3 years ago thinking I could copy it but my sewing skills were not close to being able to do it. I’m thrilled to see this.

really love the strawberry drawstring bag and would love to share your tutorial link in my blog ^_^
Is that the cutest bag.
I want one!! It’s so cute` ^_^
Did you use laminated fabric? It’s hard to tell for sure what type of fabric it is from the pictures, but I like it and would like to get whatever you used.
It is something like light laminated fabric but it is not water-proof. Feel like plastic yet has the texture of woven fabric.
I bought it at Daiso, a Japanese yen shop. If you have Daiso near by, may be you will be able to locate it.
Okay, thanks! I’ll have to look around and feel some different fabric.
very cool! i saw similar bags in a shop.
but i didn’t realize i could make one of them myself. i really like the idea…
I linked to your tutorial on my blog – thanks a lot for sharing!

This is so adorable!!!!! I will have to ask my cousins in Taiwan about these bags. Thank you so much for the tutorial. Love it.
I love it, thank you for the tutorial, I have to make it, wonderfull for a litle x’mas present to my quilting group.
OK,you finally did it…great job and happy that it’s useful for you…………
This is great tute but am not sure of what kinda bias tape to use? I bought some from Daiso, single fold half inch tape. Are those too narrow?
Thanks!
I am using the same one bought from Daiso too, cotton.
I just finished the bag but so upset cos my strawberry was too small ,the bag won’t fit in
maybe my measurement was wrong. I used the same fabric from Daiso too.
The size of the strawberry is just nice to fit in the grocery bag, can you manage to push the bag into it? perhaps it is a little cramp but should be able to fit in.
I think I cut 4″x5 3/4″ for the strawberry. Was I supposed to add 3/8″ to all the measurements u gave? Need to find out as I am going to do it again
Thanks!
Oh yes, my dear, you need to add the 3/8″ seam allowance as shown in the pdf pattern.
