Main Photo

I was doing some house keeping in my craft room last few days, only to find out that I have so many left over yarns from my previous knitting and crocheting projects, oh dear!!! What am I going to do with them, I can’t just throw them away? They are neither enough to knit into garments, nor I can combine all of them to make one…. the colors are just “repulsive” when come together :p Since I am keeping long hair, why not make them into some hairbands!!!! You know, time is bad and I have to save a little when come to handicraft :p

I took some rubber hairbands and started to crochet, just a simple pattern. With combination of some yarns, I have made 8 hairbands in just an hour :) They are shown below, just click “Next” to see all of them. I also showed the yarns I used for each hairband I have made.

My daughter likes the pink the best but her hair is too short to put them on. I let her keep it, she can use it when her hair is long enough :)
If you want to try one, you just need to prepare some yarns, 8/0 crochet hook and a rubber hairband. Follow the photos and the instruction written just below the photo, you should be able to get one done very fast.
Step1: Tie a knot onto the rubber hairband.

Repeat Step 3 and 4 until you fill up the whole ring of the rubber hairband. Join the end to the 3rd chains of the start point with slip stitch, bind off and hide the yarn-end, and you are done :) Pretty simple, right!
Hope you enjoy crochet it and match it with your knitted or crocheted work.

Update 09 Sept 09
