Crochet Supplies
Besides being simple and quick to make, this crochet Christmas tree pattern only uses a smidgen of yarn. It’s the perfect way to use up those lovely leftover bits from other projects to make up a colorful bunch of crochet Christmas trees. Here are the supplies you need:
- Yarn, light worsted in green and brown. I used 4 Seasons, Marvel, 8 ply.
- Crochet hook, E, 3.5 mm
- A small button (10 mm) as a treetop decoration
- Tapestry Needle
- Scissors

Though we are using light worsted or DK weight yarn to make this 4″ tall crochet Christmas tree, however, you can use whatever yarn you prefer. Just keep in mind to size up or size down your crochet hook to suit your yarn weight. By using different weights of yarn, you should expect to produce different sizes of crochet Christmas trees as well.
How To Crochet Christmas Tree

Crochet Tree Body:
- Make a magic ring with green yarn and crochet 3 sc stitches into it.
- Pull to tighten the magic ring.
- Turn your work and crochet 1 ch st, followed by 1 sc stitch, then 3 sc stitches in the next stitch, and 1 sc as the last stitch of the row. From the second row onwards, all the sc stitches are to be made in the back loop only.
- Follow the written crochet Christmas tree pattern at the end of this page to complete the tree. It is an easy-to-remember crochet pattern, as the increment stitches are done in the middle of the row.

Crochet Tree Base
- With brown yarn, crochet ch, and 3 sc stitches at the 3 middle stitches of the Christmas tree.
- Turn your work, ch, and yarn over, then insert the hook in the same stitch as the previous row. This will create a long yet dense stitch.
- Complete the hdc stitch for the next 3 stitches.
- Lastly, ch 2 and sl st into the last hdc stitch.

Assembly
Sew a small button onto the tree top and hide all yarn ends to neaten up your crochet Christmas tree.

Lastly, string up your crochet Christmas trees if you’re making a garland out of them.

Sorry, I don't have the knitting pattern for a Christmas tree. This can be my to-design list for the next Christmas.
